EMMA LINDSEY
Performer and Creative

Hi, I'm Emma
let me introduce myself!
Prior to graduating from New College Lanarkshire's BA Hons Acting with Creative Enterprise course in June 2022, I've had the fortune of training in the performing arts for a number of years. Starting with HNC Acting and Performance in 2017, I then moved to Paris to study Acting in English and Acting in French at Cours Florent, where I received the bulk of my training as an Actor and Physical Theatre Performer before the pandemic.
In the final year of my degree in NCL, I was part of the Groundwork Productions festival of new work, entitled 'Behind Close Doors' at Scottish Youth Theatre. My cohort was responsible for creating 14 pieces of new theatrical productions, presented in the form of an end of year festival, where I had a hand in 4 of these. Specialising in Performance (Acting, Singing, Physical Theatre) with 'Selkie' by Taylor Hall, 'Price of Happiness' by Georgia Blue Ireland, and 'Hands of Time' by Rachel Mae Hook and Fiona Radbourne. With Rebecca Innes, I acted as Co-Creator of 'Wee'Gie Cabaret', inspired by Glasgow's history of variety performance. You can view my song 'What's It Called' here.
Since graduating, I have performed in a variety of festivals around Scotland, including The Dandelion Festival (Glasgow and Inverness), Merchant City Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. My next adventure was a three month Primary Schools tour around the UK with M&M Theatrical Productions, playing the Fairy Godmother and Nasty Sister in their adaption of 'Cinderella'.
Along with some Voice Over credits and Short Film credits further to graduating, I work with Cumbernauld Theatre and At The Root Theatre as a dance and drama facilitator for young people. Soon, I will begin working as a Connector with Toonspeak, and use my Box Office, Front of House and Marketing experience with Cumbernauld Theatre to help me in the role. Otherwise found assisting Youth Circus, and furthering my own training in Circus/Aerial Dance with Silks, Hoop and Pole.
